Supporting individuals to return to work following illness or injury
About Us
Providing bespoke case management and vocational rehabilitation services to insurers, solicitors, employers and case managers.
A Registered Nurse with a varied clinical background, Claire has worked within vocational rehabilitation since 2005. During this time she has specialised in assisting individuals to return to work after illness or injury and in coordinating their rehabilitation in order to maximise their recovery.
With significant experience of working for a number of large case management providers, both as a clinical case manager, a team leader and in a customer-facing role as an Account Manager, Claire set up CM Rehabilitation & RTW in 2018 in order to provide bespoke vocational services, which meets the needs of insures, solicitors and employers alike but essentially keeps the needs of the client at the centre of the process.
Based in Warrington, Cheshire & covering the North West, North East, Midlands & North Wales. Remote services provided UK-wide.
Why Choose Us
We provide a range of vocational case management services, with return to work at the heart of everything we do.
Over the years, we have provided support to a range of clients, some looking to return to their previous roles, others to retrain or start completely new careers, attend university or start their own businesses.
We have in-depth understanding of different work industries which puts us in a unique position of being able suggest roles based on whether they are functionally appropriate for the individiual and support them to return to work in a role that is right for them.
Vocational Rehabilitation helps people to stay in work, return to work, or explore alternative roles after illness, injury, or a change in health.
At CM Rehab & RTW, support is tailored to your individual situation, with practical guidance to help you move forward safely and confidently.
Who it can help: Vocational rehabilitation may help if you:
are off work due to illness, injury, stress, or a long-term health condition
are struggling to manage your current role
need support with a phased return to work
may need changes to your duties, hours, or work environment
are unsure whether your current job is still right for you
How we can help Support may include:
understanding how your health is affecting work
identifying barriers and practical solutions
developing a realistic return-to-work plan
advising on workplace adjustments
building confidence, routine, and work readiness
exploring alternative roles if your previous job is no longer suitable
Vocational Redirection If returning to your previous role is no longer realistic, vocational redirection can help you explore other options.
This may include identifying transferable skills, considering suitable alternative roles, and creating a structured plan towards sustainable employment.
What to expect Support is personalised, practical, and focused on helping you make informed decisions about work. The aim is not to rush you back before you are ready, but to help you find the right way forward.
I need to say that the time spent with Claire and the support and understanding offered made a huge impact on me in a very difficult time when I felt completely isolated and unheard. I can only thank you and praise you for the work you do.

We covered so much information - I have a much deeper understanding of the variety of assessments that form part of a very wide vocational rehabilitation service, when to use them, what information it can provide and how to apply it to supporting people to maintain or return to work.

In addition to being an excellent assessor and case manager of complex/long term conditions that require protracted medical management and return to work support, Claire is also a valued member of our early intervention service, which aims to prevent long term absence by supporting employees who are struggling in work and at risk of absence, or in the very early stages of being absent from work, due to ill health. In her work in this space, Claire ensures that she understands the needs of the individual, as well as those of the employer, to guarantee buy-in from all stakeholders to work towards a safe and sustainable work outcome that is feasible for the business, and thus the longer-term job security of the individual at the heart of the process.

I am so impressed with the support that X has received. We talk a lot about how VR can differ from OH, and I really feel this is a wonderful example of how much more proactive VR can be. They’ve found a very practical solution to a barrier and held X’s hand all the way through that process, and what a huge difference this will have made for him!
